In order to break the taboo on incontinence and raise awareness about the issue, set up the #DiaperChallenge in which participants must wear a diaper product, specifically designed for those dealing with incontinence, for 24 hours. This challenge takes the form of a viral Internet challenge: a person who has been challenged to participate must wear one of your company’s products that have been designed to help those dealing with incontinence, and they must wear it for an entire day. Once they have completed the challenge, they must take a photo or video of his or herself where your company’s product is visible, and then challenge three of their friends to also participate.

Partnerships

Partner with a foundation or a research group that is dealing with incontinence, or researching ways to prevent it, as part of its mission statement. This allows the challenge to be more than just a fun Internet challenge, but also a way to raise money for the foundation or research group you are working with; for each designated product sold, a percentage of the profits are given back to the organization. The foundation or research group will get the challenge started on their social media platforms, and continue to promote the challenge by sharing posts of their favourite participants.

Execution

In order to kick-start the challenge making its way through the chain, your initial participants from the foundation or group that your company partners with will challenge bloggers, vloggers, and lobbyists, to also complete the #DiaperChallenge. An explanatory letter is sent prior to their online tagging and challenging in order to fully explain the purpose of the challenge and promote the effort to raise money.
